How reserving a house works on KejaRent

Hold a vacant house for a day, week or month while you prepare to move in: how much it costs and what happens next.

When reserving makes sense

If you've found the right house but can't move in yet, for example you're waiting for payday or your current notice period, a reservation holds it so no one else takes it.

How it works

  • Open the house on KejaRent. If the landlord allows reservations you'll see the options, such as 1 day, 1 week or 1 month, with their fees.
  • Choose a period and pay the fee to the payment option shown. The house is only held once the fee is paid.
  • The landlord sees your reservation and contacts you to arrange moving in.

What happens to the fee

The fee is usually deducted from your first rent invoice when you move in. Refunds if you change your mind are up to the landlord, so ask in chat before you reserve.
